If exactly 14.563g of KMnO4 were dissolved to yield 750mL of solution, what is the normality? I know the equivalent weight is 31.61g. This is how much I got. (14.563g/.750L)(1 mol KMnO4/158.03g)(5 e-/1 mol) = .615 This answer does not seem right however....

What volume of .1 N KMnO4 would be required to titrate .56g of K2[Cu(C2O4)2] 2H20? So, my problem is the normality thing and I need a general direction to go in if possible. From my research, the .1 N means that 1/10 of a mole of KMnO4 is dissolved. I kno...

Ok last question for now. Calcium is determined in limestone by precip. CaC2O4, dissolving precip. in H2SO4, and titrating with KMnO4. The precipitate from the limestone sample weighs .4463g requires 32.17mL of .1336 N KMnO4 for titration. Find percentage...

For this question, they want me to use fundamental trig identities to simplify the expression. The problem is as follows; (tanx/csc^2x + tanx/sec^2x)(1+tanx/1+cotx) - 1/cos^2x I got as far as this; tanx(1/csc^2x + 1/sec^2x)(1+tanx/1+cotx) - sec^2x. I fact...

Paintball guns were originally developed to mark trees for logging. A forester aims his gun directly at a knothole in a tree that is 4.0 m above the gun. The base of the tree is 20 m away. The speed of the paintball as it leaves the gun is 50 m/s. How far...

Not sure if right but try this. Say .25=2x where .25 is the fraction of his allowance spent on books and 2x is the number of books multiplied by the price of the books. Solve for x. x=0.125

your solution fits if you mean x^2+5x+6 which factors out to (x+3)(x+2)

Just work it out by using diff. factors of 12. Also one binomial will be subtraction and the other addition.

No incorrect. Use a^2 + b^2 = c^2. C is the length of the hypotenuse. So solve for a or b. Plug in 9 as a or b and 12 as c then solve for the unknown
