You alwalys put a variable after the slope and then you add the y-intercept. It's pretty easy. For example, if the slope= 7 and the y-intercept= -3 your answer would be y=7x+-3. Get it?

So, basically, the way I can look at problems like these is to subtract the two accelerations (normal's gravity and centripetal) then multiply them by the mass (F=ma)?
you should start by multiplying both sides by 8 (to even out the g on the right) then expand the right side by multiplying each number inside the parenthesis by the number outside. Finally, get all the g's on one side, add them (or subtract) and divide bo...

Yeah. Intercepts are where the graph crosses the x and/or y axis. Looking at your graph on the calculator and tracing it, it never crosses the x axis, right? So you would only have a spot where it crosses the y axis, and tracing it, that point is (0,3).

A basic rule for right triangles is sine(theta) = opposite/hypotenuse 20 = your opposite side theta is your angle rearrange to fit your problem: hypotenuse = opposite/sin(theta) plug in and solve make sure your calculator is in degrees, not radians too.
what you did wrong was this: tan(theta) = opposite / adjacent An easy trick to remember is SOHCAHTOA (pronounced so-ka-toe-a): sin (S) is opposite(O)/hypotenuse(H) cos (C) is adjacent (A)/hypotenuse(H) tan (T) is opposite (O)/adjacent (A) I'm in college c...

I'm sorry, I tried this and got 2.1 and the computer keeps kicking it out as wrong. Your logic makes sense to me after I thought about it. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

The way to solve this is to use potential and kinetic energy and the formula R = (v^2/g)sin2(theta). mgh=(1/2)mv^2 v=sqrt(2gh) R=(sqrt(2gh)^2/9.8)sin2(theta) = ((4.95)^2/9.8)sin(2*34) =3.27m

You will need to use the distributive property of multiplication. 5/(2y+6) + 1/(y-2) = 3/(y+3) 5/2(y+3) + 1/(y-2) = 3/(y+3) 2(5)/(y+3) + 2/(y-2) = 2(3)/(y+3) 10/(y+3) + 2/(y-2) = 6/(y+3) 2/(y-2) = -4/(y+3) (y-2)(2)/(y-2) = -4(y-2)/(y+3) 2 = -4(y-2)/(y+3)...

one last question. From same set up. Assuming all of the hypochlorite ion comes from sodium hypochlorite, calculate the grams of NaClO in the titrated bleach sample.

5 mL of undiluted bleach was used. Calculate the mass in grams of undiluted bleach that was in the sample of bleach titrated.

use this to get the mass of the bleach? It is telling me my answer is incorrect.
to get the grams of NaClO in the titrated bleach sample I calculated .000721 x 74.44217 = .0536 which was correct. For the previous question I asked I put in the same answer as you said and it is incorrect.

First you have to find the amount of water (in grams) that will react with 2 mol of phenylmagesium bromine. Then you convert the grams into mg. Finally, you divid by 25. Reply if you want the answer.

The poem "The Tide Rises, The Tide Falls" by Henry Wadsworth Longfelllow.

You have to first right the balanced formula MgBr + H2O --> Benzene + Mg(OH)Br This means that 2 mols of water will react with 2 moles of phenylmagnesium bromide

2 mol of water equals 36 gram or 36000 mg so the answer is 1440 drops of water
