theta = -45 deg or 135 deg
sin theta = 1/sqrt 2 or -1/sqrt 2
sin^2 theta = 1/2 in either case
sin theta = 1/sqrt 2 or -1/sqrt 2
sin^2 theta = 1/2 in either case
