what is 3y(7y - 6) + 16y simplified
2 answers
21y^2-2y or y(21y-2)
Oh sorry, I jst wrote the answer and did not tell you how i arrived at it which means you wont learn from it to solve similar problems so here's how i arrived at my answer:
First, multiply the terms inside the bracket by the one outside. So it'll be:
((7y*3y)-(6*3y)) + 16y = (21y^2 -18y) + 16y
Then, you open the brackets and simplify like terms:
21y^2-18y+16y = 21y^2 -2y
or you can decide to bring out the common factor, then you answer will be y(21y-2)
