I will read that as
(5 + 3/(x^2 y) ÷ ((3+x)/(x^3 y)
= (5x^2y + 3/(x^2y) (x^3y)/(3+x)
=x(5x^2y + 3)/(3+x)
( I did not take it as (5+3) , or else they would have simplified to 8,
I did not take it as 3 + x/x^3y, or else they would have canceled that x)
