2/3 w = 2/5 L
times 15
10w = 6L
L - w = 14
L = w+14, now substitute
10w = 6(w+14)
10w = 6w + 84
4w = 84
w = 21, then L = 35
together they have 56 marbles
check:
2/3 of w = 2/3(21) = 14
2/5 of L = 2/5(35) = 14, check!!
