t=12 seconds g=9.8 m/s^2

clearly the vertex of this parabola has value of t = 6
distance an object falls from rest in 6 seconds
= 4.9(6^2) = 176.4 metres

Wow, must have been some superhuman to "toss" a ball 176 m high.
