If a ball is tossed into the air from a height of 6 feet
with a velocity of 32 feet per second, then its altitude at time t (in seconds)
can be described by the function

A(t) = - 16t^2 + 32t + 6.

Find the altitude of the ball at 2 seconds.
I am having problems understanding how to work out this word solving problem. Can someone help me? Thanks.

Well if you're given the equation, the variable you need is "t" in order to solve the equation so if you just plug in 2 for "t" then you get your A(t). Just plug in A(t) = -16(2^2) + 32(2) +6
