Please Differentiate (7x√x-8x)/√x with respect to x.

y = (7x√x - 8x)/√x
= (7x^3)^(1/2) - 8x)(x^(-1/2))
= 7x - 8x^(1/2)
dy/dx = 7 - 4x^(-1/2)
or
= 7 - 4/√x
could have used the quotient rule, but the simplification made it easier this way
= (7x^3)^(1/2) - 8x)(x^(-1/2))
= 7x - 8x^(1/2)
dy/dx = 7 - 4x^(-1/2)
