Find the equation of the line containing the point ( 1, -2 ) and perpendicular to the line containing the points ( 1, 5 ) and ( 3, 2 )

slope between (1,5) and (3,2)
= (2-5)/(3-1) = -3/2

so the slope of our needed line is 2/3

equation of new line
y+2 = (2/3)(x-1)
3y + 6 = 2x - 2
