y - y1 = m(x-x1)
y - (-4) = -1/4(x -3)
y + 4 = -1/4 x + 3/4
y = -1/4 x + 3/4 -16/4
y = -1/4 x - 13/4
This is in y = mx + b form
in ax + by = c form
4y = -x -13
x + 4y = -13
You could also find the equation by just using
y = mx + b
-4 = -1/4 (3) + b
-4 = -3/4 + b
-16/4 + 3/4 = b
-13/4 = b
so y - -1/4 x - 13/4
y - (-4) = -1/4(x -3)
y + 4 = -1/4 x + 3/4
y = -1/4 x + 3/4 -16/4
y = -1/4 x - 13/4
This is in y = mx + b form
in ax + by = c form
4y = -x -13
x + 4y = -13
You could also find the equation by just using
y = mx + b
-4 = -1/4 (3) + b
-4 = -3/4 + b
-16/4 + 3/4 = b
-13/4 = b
so y - -1/4 x - 13/4
