hf=hi+vi*t+1/2 g t^2
g=-9.8
0=0+5t-4.8t^2
that is a quadratict equation, use the quadratic formula to find t.

V = Vo + g*Tr.
0 = 5 + (-9.8)Tr,
Tr = 0.51 s. = Rise time.
Tf = Tr = 0.51 s. - Fall time.
Tr+Tf = 0.51 + 0.51 = 1.02 s. = Return time.

Tr+Tf = 0.51 + 0.51 = 1.02 s. = Return time.
