25/x = 9/6 (where 25 is the tree's shadow, x is the unknown height of the tree, 9 is the man's shadow and 6 is the man's height)
solve for x
cross multiply 25(6) = (9)x
150 = 9x
x = 150/9
do the division
x = 16.6
the tree is 16.6 feet or about 17 feet tall
solve for x
