Solve the equation:
Logx=1-log(x-3)

Answers

Answered by Damon
log x + log (x-3) = 1

log (x^2 -3x) = 1

10^log (x^2 -3x) = 10^1 = 10

x^2 -3 x -10 = 0

(x-5)(x+2) = 0

x = +5 or - 2
Answered by Steve
but -2 is not a solution, since the domain of log(x) is x>0.
