    1-5(x-5)=6x+1
-Solve the left side first since the right side of the equal side can't be combined.
1-5(x-5)
multiply 5 and x because 5 is right next to the parenthesis.
---> 5*x= 5x
then multiply 5 and 5 because of the distributive rule: 5*5=25
After that, you should have:
1-5x-25=6x+1
Continue by combining like terms.
Since the 25 in the left of the equation has a subtract sign to the left of it, it has to be a negative. So to make -25 a zero, add it by 25: -25 + 25= 0
Since you added 25 to -25, also add it to the 1 because of combining like terms.
1+25= 26
Now you have: 26-5x=6x+1
Now combine like terms again, but this time in the both sides of the equal sign.
First, let's start with the numbers.
Let's make 1 a 0. 1-1=0
Then, we also subtract it to the 26 because they are alike (no variables.)
26-1=25
Here is what you get:
25-5x=6x
Do the same with the variables:
-5X+5X=0
5x+6x= 11x
Now you have:
25=11x
Now wrap it up by finding X.
