After staying awake late many nights, Glorida has become accustomed to going to sleep late and awakening late. Now she tries to shift going to bed earlier and waking up earlier. This shift is similar to difficulties people face when they travel
a. north
b. south
c. east
d. west
I chose C. because it is harder to travel from west to east, but is this answer correct?

Yes, that is correct since she would be faced with having to get up much earlier.
P.S. This is also why people who travel a lot, crossing the International Date Line, wear 2 watches. One is their "home" time and the other is the "time" where they traveled to. My husband always tried to stay on the "same" time schedule even if he was 9-plus hours off! It worked for him!
Ok! Thank you SO much!!!
I agree that basically we suffer jet lag going from west to east. However, I've found that I don't have much jet lag when I go to Europe. I think I'm running on enough adrenalin that my body adjusts very quickly. It's coming home from Europe that gets me down -- but I believe that's because the vacation is over and I know I can relax and sleep more.
