Summer is warmer than winter (in each hemisphere) because the Sun's rays hit the Earth at a more direct angle during summer than during winter and also because the days are much longer than the nights during the summer. During the winter, the Sun's rays hit the Earth at an extreme angle, and the days are very short. These effects are due to the tilt of the Earth's axis.
Anything to the 0 power is 1. And somehow my final answer was xz^3 / 9^-2y^-2 but i really could be wrong, hopefully someone else can help u with this one cause im not positive!

Dear Ms. Sue, I just wanted to know the real answer to what is the meaning or definition of limited. Its not that I don't know it, it is just that I wanted to know the real meaning or definition. Thanks a lot, Melissa B.
Thank you 19 3/8 - 4 3/4= 19 6/8 - 4 6/8= 5 ?
Sorry, I meant that the equation is z=4x^2-8. I forgot to add the z if that makes a difference.
Okay, thank you.
how did you do htat? why does it become 18 9/8?
54 over 5
10 4/5, thanks
so the general form equation is (x-4)^2 + (y-5)^2 = 34 ? then what is the standard form?
then they are asking to put 0.03 into word form
thanks

sorry I did not realize sqrt could not be read It should read sqrt-27 with a little three on the outside. and my answer is 9sqrt-3
again when I post it does not read right. it is sqrt a^10
Thank you
I don't understand what is meant by returns to variable inputs. If you can expalin, I can do the rest.
Yep its def D

A declaritive sentence is a sentice that ends with a period and is a statement.
Number 2 is the answer it's on page 271 in your textbook
1800 kilometers ?
I agree, this page didn't help me at all. I read the whole chapter 11 and then did research online for answers.
ignore the "d=". Sorry!
When it says magnitude of velocity is that the same as the final velocity before impact? The word "magnitude" threw me off.
So in solving the answer it would be F=(8.99E9)*(2.5E13*1.6E-19)*(2.5E13*1.6E-19)/.50^2? If so, I don't think I did it right. I ended up with an answer of .57536
I basically want to solve this problem and I want to talk about people's reaction, pros & cons, etc.
Well so far I have my intro. which is this: Throughout the years, it has been known that if one's newborn is born in America, they have automatic citizenship, regardless of what their parent's situation may be; which is what the 14th Amendment states. Illegal immigrants are now having "anchor babies" in the United States that have caused the nation to have doubts about this amendment. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on how this problem should end, but it must be resolved. Good? Or no?
The thesis can only be in one place, which is the ending of the introduction. My thesis: "Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on how this problem should end, but it must be resolved." This "Illegal immigrants are now having "anchor babies" in the United States that have caused the nation to have doubts about this amendment." is not my thesis. its just like background info.
I looked over it, but for some reason it didn't really help me.
No...? I don't think so. I just want to make a point about how it's wrong to take the rights of a newborn baby because their parents sacrificed themselves to cross the border, and have their child be born in America, so it's easier for their child to have a 'good' life here.
I really like that as a thesis statement. Thank you so much! (:
so it would be (1)(.0036)=n(.0821)(273)?
they have the same speed as each other at the instant they hit the ground. Trick question!
Calculation of the sodium chloride (NaCl) content and evaporation: 1. The amount of sodium chloride in the original mixture may be determined indirectly by adding the masses of ammonium chloride and sand together and subtracting the sum from the initial sample mass of 10g. 2. Next, we will use an alternative procedure to calculate the mass of the sodium chloride. We will heat the solution, which will cause the water to evaporate and leave only the salt. 3. Begin by placing the beaker with the sodium chloride solution on the Bunsen burner, over a low flame, and bringing the solution to a boil. 4. Make sure that the Data window is still open and click on the beaker. Watch the Data window until all of the water has boiled off, leaving only the solid sodium chloride. Then remove the beaker from the flame. 5. Weigh and record the mass of the beaker with the sodium chloride. Question #1 : 1. Calculate and record the following (in grams): (a) mass of NaCl by subtraction of other components: (b) measured mass of NaCl after boiling away water: 2. Calculate the percent difference between the results from the two methods from the following equation: % difference = |(measured mass) - (mass by subtraction)| / (mass by subtraction) * 100% 3. Based on your experimental results, which is the preferred method of separation? 4. What is the mass percent of each component in your mixture? To determine the mass percent, divide the mass of the component by the mass of the total 10g sample and multiply that result by 100. (a) % NH4Cl = (b) % SiO2 = (c) % NaCl = Answer : a) mass of NaCl by subtraction of other components: 52.26g (b) measured mass of NaCl after boiling away water:50.040g I don't know if this information will help? I need some guidance and don't know if it's a case of plug and chuck.
Newton's third law says that for every action there is an opposite and equal reaction. Does that mean that the the average thrust force the gas exerts on the engine and rocket would each be 5 N?
I still don't understand?
Consistent and independent?
I figured it out 1 gallon = 8 pints and to figure the 3/4. you take 3/4 x 8/1= 24/4 and that = 6. so 6+8=14
Have you found an answer yet?
Thank you-I understand it now more clearly
I figured out the first part but don't understand the second part still. I looked at the response you had for someone else, but still couldn't get the right answer.
Please someone help
I haven't posted this before. I've been working on this for 2 days and I didn't search the website for this problem again today. Someone else must have posted it. I just couldn't figure out the equations. Thanks anyway.
I'm not to sure what you mean by "the same"
do I use the Ksp of MfF2 and plug it in the equation?
If there are only two cards left it would be a 50% chance of picking the Queen of Hearts.....
We're just learning this and I think I mixed up G=6.673E-11 from another problem and what my brother was telling me to simply do mass of electron * 9.8N/kg. I was accidentally combining two differnet things and not doing it correctly sorry for not understanding it right away when my brother told me- Thank you for helping
Thank you
Thank you

Thank you, I got that but I don't know how to solve for x
I agree with Bianca, I hate this class and I pray to the gods every day for it to end. As a friend of mine pointed out a lot of the questions are biased and out of date.
sorry for the delay.. I don't understand. I do understand that a new 1000 is not needed because once added, it's still 1000 but as as far as the rest, I don't understand. Trying to help my daughter with her math homeworl!

thank you so much
7 * sqrt 20 = 7 * sqrt 5 * sqrt 4 = 7* sqrt5 * 2 = 14sqrt5 so (14sqrt5) - (8sqrt5)= 6sqrt5
Not to mention the conversions! But thanks a million. :) I got a range of an average of 0.064 nm to 0.45 nm. Considering concept wise though, do the units of nm make sense for an atoms diameter? That's not visible right?
This ties in with chemistry actually. They give you Temperature, Pressure, and Volume. Convert temperature to Kelvins (add 273) and convert your volume to Liters. Use R constant 0.0821. Plug into the ideal gas law of PV=nRT and solve for the moles of the He atom (thats n). Once you have moles, its a simple conversion, 1 mole= atoms of 6.022x10^23. So it'd be your molesx 6.022x10^23 atoms/1 mole.
Thanks so much! That makes alot more sense now. The figures really helped out.
Sorry, I meant 2sinx - cos^2x = sin^2x for 0 ≤ x ≤ 2π 2sinx - cos^2x = sin^2x Do I change the left side to 2sinxcosx - cos^2x = sin^2x
Thank you~ May I know how you got 150 degrees? I am so confused when finding the reference angles, whether to subtract or add the degrees.
Thank you!
sorry I will resubmit them. Thanks.
yes
Thank you and sorry someone impersonated you.
I don't know, I think that it is A-B=C
I have no clue we never covered it in class!
The force of friction is zero?
Thank you so much, i understand a lot more now !
Is the net forces balanced because it accelerates steadily in a straight line?.
Thank you so much I understand now !
Thank you for helping me ! It takes me a little bit longer to grasp concepts, i think now the correct answer is it is unbalanced because it accelerates?
Sorry i meant 4000 kg is the mass
Lol :) thanks , i should have thought of that
Thanks bobpursely I need this for my Quantitative Biomechanics class
thank you bobpursley
Any my text book for the 12.0kg steel ball it says the answer is 1.2*10^2N, not 117.6N how did they get that answer?
How do i find the acceleration though
