There are a number of articles at this site that will provide information. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=political+developments+in+Europe+influence+the+exploration+and+conquest+of+the+new+world&btnG=Google+Search
I think that #2 is far superior. You can support that thesis; the influence of peer values, the economic crisis, etc. will be great.

Here are a number for you to look at. There is a painting of a girl in white that you might very well link to some of the literature. http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=Victorian+era%2C+British+paintings&btnG=Search+Images&gbv=2
Is this your thesis statement? Workers were needed in factories to operate the machines and people quickly moved from the rural areas into cities. If so, this is what you need to prove. However, I don't believe from what you said before this is what you wanted to write about. You need to clarify your thesis.
Those look like very interesting, thought provoking questions. When you have answered them, please repost and we will be glad to make suggestions on those that are incorrect. We do not do your homework for you.
Tasha, we did not see the video. You will need to answer those questions. We will be happy to look at your answers and make further suggestions.

If you are going to name the school, then University of Texas, or South Bend Junior High School would be the proper way to write it. You do not need underlining or quotation marks.
In my honest opinion, spending 100% of my time with either is unhealthy and will not enable me to achieve personal goals. Leo, your "honest opinion" is exactly right. The sites that SrMacGin gave you will give you some practical ideas. However, there is no one magic answer. It is a day by day decision. Keeping a calendar is a good way to begin. Put on it those events which are vital. Put on it those business requirements which are "SOP". Then put on it those events which will give you enjoyment. If you don't have room for the enjoyment, then you need to negotiate some of the SOP. Then don't sweat the small stuff. Organization helps, but the main thing is to strive for balance. When you are beginning - sometimes you have to make hard decisions about what can be negotiated and what can't. THEN, pray for some 26 hour days. <G> Good luck!

Did you mean an "on the spot report"? If so, that would be a reporter reporting from the scene of the event.
#5 is good. However, I would leave the clause beginning with "when" off. #6 instead of the "comma and", I would put a semi-colon after "sharply". # 17 I would put the sentence this way. The people downtown were attending a conference for the visually impaired. #19... you are implying that there are no female mayors. What about "the mayors and their partners" #20 .... I would keep the quotations marks around the quote. Still use the comma after "specific"

http://www.sparknotes.com/psychology/psych101/socialpsychology/section2.rhtml "Measuring Prejudice Researchers find it difficult to measure prejudice. One reason for this is that people differ in the type and extent of prejudice they harbor. For example, a person who makes demeaning comments about a particular ethnic group may be bigoted or just ignorant. Also, people often do not admit to being prejudiced. People may often have implicit unconscious prejudices even when they do not have explicit prejudices. Researchers assess implicit prejudice in three ways: Some researchers assess attitudes that suggest prejudice, such as a strong emotional objection to affirmative action. Some researchers observe behavior rather than assess attitudes. People’s behavior in stressful situations may be particularly useful at revealing implicit prejudice. Some researchers assess the unconscious associations people have about particular groups. "

O.N. iss, O.Fris. is, Du. ijs, Ger. Eis), with no certain cognates beyond Gmc. Slang meaning "diamonds" is attested from 1906. Ice cream is first recorded 1688 (as iced cream); icing in the sugary sense is from 1769; ice cube first recorded 1929. To break the ice "to make the first opening to any attempt" is from 1590, metaphoric of making passages for boats by breaking up river ice though in modern use usually with implications of "cold reserve." If you look at the approximate dates for Old English and Middle English, you'll see why there is no way to give an exact time of origin. Old English: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_English_language (Middle English: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Middle_English ) Also, in bold above, it states that there are "no certain cognates beyond Gmc" -- which tells you that that's as far back as etymologists seem to be able to trace this word.
Here is the etymology of the word. http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?term=independent If one is independent, one does not rely on anyone for one's livelihood. One may make decisions on one's own. It has nothing to do with respect or loyalty. One may choose to respect those who earn respect and have loyalty to those who deserve loyalty. If a country declares its independence from another, then it is "free" to make its own decisions. The country may chose to remain the friend or ally of the country of its origin, as represented by the relationship between the United States and Great Britian.

These are purely "use your imagination" essays. I would immediately think of T = teen... it has to be thirteen...and wears jeans....with anything and everything. You could write a wonderful piece on becoming a T... and all that accompanies that. Think of the second question the same way. What color does S make you think of, what does that color do. LOL... standard American English with a Yankee accent. <G> You know. That "Hahvaad Yaaad" bit. The climax is Johnny dies. That is the end of the conflict. The climax of any story comes when there can be no other result. Now you have to decide did Johnny win because he died without giving up hope and dignity, or did death win?

Your first statement is incorrect. Scyld is not Beowulf's Father. (See below) The rest of your summary on Scyld is correct. Your answer: Eating fresh organges , can often help keep away the cold virus. The only thing wrong with this one is - do not use a comma. "Eating fresh oranges" is the subject of the sentence. This one is correct as it is. Punctuation-Parentheses: The blouse did not fit properly.(You will find it in this package.) Use "workers" instead of "power". Those words are not specific. They have no real meaning. They are just something to throw in a sentence. How much is very... What is the difference between "I am very thirsty" and "I am thirsty enough to spit sand. " One is 'graphic' ; it gives you a specific image. If someone gave you "a lot" of homework , how much is that? Are you going to have to work for an hour,or the whole weekend without stopping, or until your next birthday? Communication needs to do just exactly that - convey a message - interestingly and specifically.

From a practical standpoint.... what is the purpose of perspiration? To cool the body, right? The air on a damp body will cool it. So, if you wipe the perspiration, then you have lost part of the cooling process, thus you will perspire more in order to provide the relief needed.
Either of those will make a great thesis statement. Next do some jotting. Think of how lives were before computors...and give a very brief history. This will be your introduction to your first paragraph. Then think of three reason why computers make terrific business partners or three reasons why our lives depend on computers. These will be the basis for your supporting paragraphs. If you need further suggestions, after you have done some writing, please repost.
I think that is great except you need one more word. "growing up in bad environments CAN make good people evil. I think you will be able to support your thesis very well.
Right.... Mama believes strongly that there is strength in family.
When you don't want to "argue" about something... what do you say.... I say "yes?" Which interprets to go on, think it out.
Ruth stood by Walter even when he is not being very smart. So when he finally comes to realize that "money" is not going to be the source of happiness, she agrees with Lena totally. Bennie, has to learn what is most important, just as Walter does. They are the "evolving " characters. Their "change" is what the play is about.

That sounds excellent. It gives you a very clear purpose in your essay.
There is always "wealth" and "power". The conflicts between the new Americans and the French and the English and the Spanish over who would have the "power" in the new land led to Indian conflicts. The discovery of silver and gold in the west led to Indians being driven off their lands. Here is a brief overview. http://www.greatdreams.com/lies.htm You can get further information by Googling "Indian Removal"
I thought I explained why I thought it would be Yes, Lena. Lena was talking about Walter growing as a person, and I think that Ruth would agree with that. If you are talking about another instance in the play, then your answer might very well be correct.
English teachers discourage the word "you" in formal written works. However, in advertising it quite often used because the advertiser wants the listener to believe that he is talking directly to a specific person. YOU, the listener. That is the reason that much advertising is directed to YOU... to which I usually reply <G> Not I. <G>

First, you need to choose a painting. Then you can do some research on the painters style. Often there is an analysis of a painting, that you can get information from. Also, look up use of color, use of space, use of form ( in art); Google can help with all of these. When you have chosen the painting you want to explore, repost with problem areas and we will try to help you.
Flat characters are two dimensional. They do not develop. The reader does not know what they are feeling or what they want; they are pretty much there for the "round", "developing" character to play off of. The round character develops, changes, as the story develops. The story is about this growth.
