a. I'm not sure about this ^^; sorry.
b. We add the number of steps to each coordinate.
The initial point is (-2,-5). Here, the x-coordinate is -2 and the y-coordinate is -5.
When the drummer moved:
1 step right means plus one to the x-coordinate
3 steps up means plus three to the y-coordinate
Therefore,
-2 + 1 = -1
-5 + 3 = -2
Thus the final position of drummer is at point (-1,-2)

Rotation in the Coordinate Plane Quiz Part 2
A. The rule is (x,y)----->(x + 1, y + 3)
B. The original point is (-2, -5). The drummer moved 1 step right (-2+1) and 3 steps up (-5+3).
-2 + 1= -1
-5 + 3= -2
So his final coordinates are (-1, -2)
