Find the mean age of the houses.
Find the median age.

mean = add numbers together then divide by how many #s

Median = middle of the numbers

mode is the most frequent number

put them in order:

2,2,11,18,20,26,27,28

mode: 2 most common
mean: add them, divide by 8: you do it.
median age: find where you can divide the list in two lists of four: well, 18 and 20 are the middle numbers. add them, divide by 2. 19 is the median.

so the mean is 16.75
The median is 12 right? Because I had to subtract the two middle numbers to get the middle number.
The mode is 2

So would it be the median to represent the ages of the houses?

ok stuck again. Got everything else calculated, but why is the median the best choice? is it because 19 is the closest to the mean, 16.75 ? Can you explain??
