I have to put these intergers in order from least to greatest.

12, -6, 20, -47, -11

I didn't do well on my last test. I am really trying to figure this out.

my answer is
-6, -11, 12, 20, -47

Why did you put - 47 as the greatest?

so -47, -11, -6, 11, 20

so basically then any negative is smaller than the non negative number? right? if that is right that was easy. I hope i am right.

Yes, that's right.

I think of negative numbers as money I owe. Positive numbers are money that I have.
