What parts of the environment, natural and manmade, make up a watershed?

Watersheds aren't really important to humans in and of themselves, it is the amount of precipitation what is caught up within the watershed. Look at Brazil in an atlas. The Amazon has a vast watershed and it is easy to see, the mountains to the north and west and the hill ranges to the south border and define the amazons watershed.

I'm also in FLVS and I found the answer on one of the links they gave. It was right there and was quite obvious:
What parts of the environment, natural and manmade, make up a watershed? Give examples of each.
a. Natural: The Santa Clara Valley: rain and irrigation flows over the land surface and then to the San Francisco Bay
b. Manmade: The area one lives in: runoff from your home, yard and neighborhood flows into a creek.

yeah everyone is in flvs, but why is everyone on here so mean?
do you honestly think that HALF the people on that site actually do their work? haha. NO!!! all you gotta do is copy and paste the question in google. so instead of calling everyone out about proper "grammar", why not just help the person out? why does everyone gotta be so harsh? everyone cheats...it's part of life. who cares. it's not the end of the world. if you aren't going to answer the question, then just ignore the post, jeez.

Answered by Ciara
im in flvs too. && the diagram shows things like a town and forrestry and a ridge, etc. you pretty much just have to figure out which things in the diagram are man made. it;s realllyyy not that hardd. !
Answered by Cathleen
I'm in FLVS as well.....
anyways, to answer the question...for the natual factors, there's grass, trees, plants, water, dirt, ect. for manmade factors, there's buildings, houses, stores roads, and dams...

however, it says this questn was asked in 2006, so im not sure if this will help any....

and for those of you who don't know...a watershed is the area of land where all of the water that is under it or drains off of it goes into the same place
