Thank you for using the Jiskha Homework Help Forum. Here is one guide:

What kind of information is needed for a good book report? Here's a list to guide you.

1) Name of book (spelled correctly and underlined)
2) Author (spelled correctly)
3) General introduction about the book.
4. tone & style
5. Was it a good book to read? Why? What exactly did you get out of it? Who else should read it? Who is the appropriate audience?
6. A. Books
1. The entry for a book begins with the last name of the author, followed by a comma and the author's initials followed by periods.

2. The year of publication follows in parentheses, followed by a period.

3. The book title follows. Only the first word of the book title, the first word of the subtitle, and proper names within both are capitalized. The entire title is underlined and followed by a period.

4. Facts of publication follow. The city is listed first. If the city might be confused with another location, use U.S. Postal Service abbreviations to identify the state. The name of the location is followed by a colon and the name of the publisher. The entry ends with a period.

Example:

Alverez, A. (1970). The savage god: A study of suicide. New York: Random House.

8) Discuss your feelings about the book.
9) Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
