Solve the equation algebraically for x where 0 </ x <2pi.

sin x = sqrt(3) cos x

divide both sides by cosx to get
tanx = √3

knowing your 30-60-90 triangle, you know that tan 60º = √3

but the tangent is also positive in quadrant III or tan 240º = √3

so in degrees, the solution is 60º, 240º
in radians pi/3, 4pi/3
