for subtraction, use the - key, not the underscore (_) key
(a) 2x+3y-z = 5
(b) 4x+4y-3z = 3
(c) 2x-3y-z = 1
subtract a from c and you have
6y = 4 so y = 2/3
Now your equations are
(a') 2x-z = 3
(b') 4x-3z = 1/3
subtract b' from 2a' and you have
z = 17/3
That makes x = 13/3
