Stretch it 0.50 meters ?
Pull Force in direction of stretch motion = k x
so work to stretch a distance d
= k integral x dx from x = 0 to x = d
= (1/2) k d^2
=(1/2) (8.40) (0.50)^2
= 8.40 / 8 = 1.05 Joules
