Question

Find the area of this region in the coordinate plane that satisfies both the inequalities x^2 + y^2 ≤ 8 and y ≥ |x|

Answers

oobleck
since y = |x| subtends an angle of 90° at the center of the circle, the area in question is 1/4 of a circle of radius r^2 = 8
so, that would be 1/4 (8π) = 2π
