the first equation says that 2b = 5a-14
so use that in the second equation to get
2a+(5a-14) = 14
a=4
so 20-2b=14
b=3

5a-2b =14---(1)
2a +2b =14---(2)
2b cancel 2b because they are the same figure. so it remains only
5a =14
+
2a =14
=7a =28 divide both side by 7
a=4.
This is the end of a. So use
5a-2b=14 to get b.
5a-2b =14
5*(4)-2b=14
20-2b=14
Collect like terms
20-14=2b
6=2b divide both side by 2
b=3.
A=4
B=3.
This equation has been successfully solved in the simplest way, if you can only follow the steps.
