A boy’s height is 3 1/2 feet. A giraffe’s height is three times that of the boy’s height. How many inches taller is the giraffe than the boy?
(1 foot = 12 inches)

boys' height = 3 1/2 ft = 42 inches
giraffe = 3(42) or 126 inches

difference = 126-42 = 84 inches
