You are given a beaker that contains a mixture of Beads, Salt, Sand, and Iron Fillings. Your jobs is to separate the mixture into its components.

Beads, Salt, Sand, and Iron Fillings.
Remove the iron filings with a magnet. That leaves beads, salt, sand.
Add water to dissolve the salt. Filter. Salt is is in solution and becomes the filtrate. Boil away the water leaving the salt. Now we have sand and beads.
Place the sand and beads in a shallow dish. Shake. The beads will work their way to the top where they can be removed physically. Sand is left.
Separation done.
