In acid solution MnO2 is converted to Mn^2+. So Mn in MnO2 is +4 and Mn in Mn^2+ is +2 which is a gain of 2 electrons. F in HF is -1 and F in F2 is zero which is a loss of electrons. Gain/loss of electrons is a redox reaction.
