Question

I have ten lions with litter sizes of: 1,2,4,0,3,5,2,1,0.

To calculate the mean am I dividing by the number of values in the set (9) or by the sample size of 10?

Thanks.

How come you have only 9 values, if you have ten lions? Surely the 10th litter is also zero?

In any case, the mean is the sum divided by the no. of values being measured.
