A ball is thrown off a cliff that is 10 meters tall. The horizontal speed of the ball is 8 m/s. Assuming no air resistance, how far from the base of the cliff will the ball land?

how long does it take to land?
4.9t^2 = 10
Use that t to determine horizontal distance, which is
d = 8t
