You can look up different conversions but I try to keep those I must memorize to a minimum. It sometimes makes a problem long because I don't remember many.
There are 454 g in a pound.
There are 2.54 cm in an inch; therefore, there are 2.54 x 2.54 x 2.54 cm^3 in a cubic inch.
There are 12 inches in a foot; therefore, there are 12 x 12 x 12 cubic inches in a cubic foot.
1.00 g/cc x (1 lb/454 g) x (2.54 cm/1") x (2.45 cm/1") x (2.54 cm/in") x (12"/1 ft) x (12"/1 ft) x (12"/1 ft) = ??
You should get about 62.4 lbs/ft^3 but I rounded here and there. You need to go through it. Check my thinking. Check my work.
