Okay let me write it this way. I mixed 30 mL of 0.1 M Acetic Acid and 15 mL of 0.1 M Sodium Hydroxide and measured the pH. Then I added 5 mL of 0.1 M NaOH to this buffer and measured the pH. It's asking me: Show the calculations for the pH of the buffer b...

How do you calculate the theoretical cell voltage? 1) Zn|Zn^+2 (1M)| Cu|Cu^+2 (1M) okay so by looking at example this example Calculate the emf (voltage) for the following reaction: Zn(s) + Fe2+ → Zn2+ + Fe(s) Write the 2 half reactions: Zn(s) → Zn2+ + 2e...

Calculate the reduction potential of the following solutions: a- 1 M CuSO4 b- 1 M FeSO4 c- 0.1 M CuSO4 I'm now the same answer as you. :( This is how I did it can you please check. a- Cu(s)---> Cu(aq) + 2e = -0.34 V SO4^-2(aq) + 4H(aq) + 2e --> H2SO3(aq)...

the measured cell voltages are supposed to be smaller than the theoretical cell voltages, but when I'm calculating the theoretical cell voltages they are smaller. And I don't know why I'm getting these. Can you please check if I'm doing it right. Thank yo...

I'm adding this to my previous question..in our textbook its says Ecell=Ecathode-Eanode. That's my values were smaller. But you added them. Will that make a difference? Should I do it the way you did it? Because they have to be bigger numbers? Thank you.

I have a question. For Fe|Fe^+2 (1M)| Cu|Cu^+2 (1M why did you use Fe^2+ ==> Fe^3+ + e Eo = -0.771 ? instead of: Fe ---> Fe^+2 + 2e ? thank you..
