Which of the following sentences contain a linking verb?

Sammy made lunch for us yesterday. +++
Would this be correct?

7 answers

I don't see the other options.
"made" is not a linking verb. Sammy did something, so it is an active verb.
A. Sammy made lunch for us yesterday. (my answer)
B. I smelled the delicious fruit salad.
C. The turkey sandwiches looked delicious.
D. We want lunches from Sammy every day now! @Reed
This should help you. Keep in mind that a linking verb simply links a noun to a phrase or word that describes it. It involves no action, as in Sammy making lunch or someone driving to a destination or chopping down a tree, etc.
