Took the quiz and went with C., it was wrong. I got a 95% at least. They don't give us what the right answer was though.

None of these answers seems to be fully accurate. Any number of factors can be involved. There is evidence that public defenders often don't do a good job, so that may not be the answer they're looking for. Seriousness of the offense? Well, running a stop sign is less "serious" than rape or murder, surely, but should not be a reason to treat it differently according to the law. That may be the answer they're looking for, but the offender's sex should make no difference, either! I think you were right, but cannot be in the mind of the person who made up the quiz.
