What is a word for a cause of fire? I don't want examples but I would like a specific word for a causer of fire that could be used no matter what caused it. For example if someone died from murder, the causer of the death would be called a killer or a murderer. That's really the best example I can come up with. But please if someone knows a word for it, could you help me?

I don't know that there is only one word. If the fire started accidentally, it could have been caused by lightning. If an extremely destructive fire were started deliberately, that would be arson.
Once you think of a few words that might fit, put them into http://www.thesaurus.com and see what others are suggested. If what you are looking for, try looking up different words.
