We have to explain why greed is not the root concept of war as a social disease. Are whole goal is to find the one thing that is the main root of war It possibly could be fear. But in the mean time we have to do process of elimination on other concepts. I understand that greed is a motivating factor.
Both of your answers are correct
I believe the correct answer is C
There both change over time
Thank you for all of your help. I really do appreciate it. Thanks again
I would say the answer would be A
We have to try and find the root principle of war which is the main cause for war. But before we get to root cause we have to do process of elimination of other factors that really arent the main cause of war. My root principle is going to be Fear in the end.
I agree with you that the answer is B.
I think the answer is C
you are welcome !!!
I think that your right
Thank so much for you help. This assignment has been really confusing and stressful over the past few days. It's crazy on how we have to change different concepts and viewpoints for every paragraph. And the sad part is that each one of our paragraphs has to be at least two pages long and it's only a five paragraph essay.
Since I seem to have the rationalizations done for smokers where would I begin for non-smokers? Can u provide me with at least two ratizonalizations so I know where to begin and then I will post the other ones that I come up with please.
Here's some Rationalizations that I came up for non smokers! I need like one more example. I want to live longer For each ciagarette a smoker has takes 11 minutes off their life Save Money Useless Habit Don't want someone else to take in second hand smoke
Here is some things that I cames up for smokers and illusion of invaulnerabilty. I need like 2 or 3 more examples. We have to list at least between 5 & 6 each for are homework Taking lots of medications to help with problems that smoking caused Being Weak Sudden Outbursts
Being mentally weak Sudden outbursts of rage I don't really know I'm having trouble coming up with two more. Is the medications one alright to use?
Can U start me off with a few things for non smokers then I will post the other things that i come up with to see if they are right
What does social ostracization mean?
Can u provide me with at least one example of illusions of unanimity for nonsmokers so I know where I can begin
Illusions of unanimity means thatamong group members, silence is viewed as agreement. We then have to put examples on how nonsmokers are affected by illusions of unanimity.
Ya it's illusion of morality
What would be another example of Shared stereotypes for smokers?
What does it mean by Mind Guarding? How would that affect people that smoke?
Would an example be like second hand smoke?
Direct pressure to conform placed on any member who questions the group, couched in terms of "disloyalty". How would direct pressure affect smokers? Would it be like lying to someone that that they don't smoke or pressure from peers is the reason for why their smoking?
We for sure have to do war as a social disease vs. something And that something has to be some type of problem or dilemma. I don't what would be the best to use. Whatever we choose we then have to find a solution for it in the end
That's what I will stick to then thanks. Maybe you can help clear my confusion. My topic will be war as a social disease vs. non-conformity. By process of elimination we have to eliminate everything that does not alter the original conflict and give reasons why not) Until we discover the one thing that alters the original conflict. Then that has to be the problem of the conflict. Then we have to give detailed solution/solution. I don't get what this means This is what i have so far. War as a social disease versus non-conformity is a dilemma that needs to be solved. Individuals refuse to hold closely to a state of religion. How does that idea not alter the original conflict (that's if i'm doing it right) I have to give reasons. I'm stuck
It's an analytical essay
Martha Gelhorn you think that it fits good with the topic though? So that's my attention grabber do I need to put a sentence after it explaining it?
That is another question that I have. I'm kind of confused on how to write my thesis because the essay was on war as a social disease and the three body paragraphs were Dissection/Nummeration/ Conflict/Problem/Solution, and Root Principle. How would I write it without clearing stating those three things.
True
In the introduction he wants us to have an attention grabber, define& qualify key aspects, and have a thesis? What does he mean to define & qualify key aspects?
Thank you so much!!!
I understand that but how does it not change my original conflict "war as a social disease versus non-conformity? I don't understand
He wants us to come up with something creative without really using the topic so much. That's the hard part
Would A Vaccine for War be a better title because in the essay we had to find the root problem of war as as a social disease and then find a solution on how to fix the problem?
No the only time I emphasize fear throughout my paper is in my second paragraph when I state that it's my root principle of war and give reasons why
No not yet. That paragraph is war as a social disease versus non-conformity. Then through the process of elimination I eliminate everything that does not change my original conflict. Until I find the viable problem to the original conflict. The viable problem that I have is social norms. Then I have to give a detailed solution
My thesis is War as a social disese is influenced by many factors but the primary cause is fear.
Okay Thank You
How does that fit in with war as a social disease versus nonconformity?
What do you mean by negotiations proposed by non-conformists?
How does social norms change war as a social disease versus non-conformity? Why should society as a whole change its way of thinking and begin to spread ideas with each other.
It doesn't matter. She has just been help me since the beginning and knows exactly what I'm asking.
It was MLA. What happens if there is no Date published/updated. or Organization/publisher. Gellhorn, Martha "Wisdom Quotes", 1995-2009, 15 February 2009, then the website does that look correct. The 1995-2009 is the copyright date>
I would find a really good quote that fits with your topic. I always use a quote as my attention grabber.
I have been researching the difference between these two all day. It's for my argumentive essay. After reading them I think that theraputic cloning is better. So would my thesis be something like Theraputic cloing is better then reproductive cloning because of religious beliefs, benefits, and I need one more reason please.
I understand. That's why i said before that my argumentive edge is going to argue why therapeutic cloning is better than reproductive. Isn't that what I was stating before in my thesis. I'm confused because we have to argue against two things. I need three reasons that I'm argue for why therapeutic cloning is better. I'm just not sure what some good reasons would be.
You use the distribution property. For ex in number one you would do 8 times 8 which is 64-2+2=? Then for the second one you would do 3 times 3 which is 9-25=? I think. I did this kind of math a long time ago
They are called idioms. Idioms are words, phrases, or expressions that cannot be taken literally. In other words, when used in everyday language, they have a meaning other than the basic one you would find in the dictionary.

Here is an example: you have 1 over 2 = x over 6. You would do 2 times x which equals 2x then you would do 1 times 6 which is 6. 2x=6 then you would divide by 2 and your answer would be 3x. So basically your cross multiplying hope that this example helps you out.
