the temperature of a gas in sealed container changes from 20. c to 40.0 C. If the volume remains constant, the pressure will change from 660 torr to ?

You would use gay-lussac's law.
P1/P1 = P2/P2
SO you plug your values in and get...
(660 torr)/(20celsius) = (? torr)/(40celsius)
....
(26400 torr/celsius) = (20celsius)(? torr)
then divide by 20 degrees celsius
and then you get 1320 torr as your answer.
This answer is not correct. First, it is
(P1/T1) = (P2/T2)
Second, you may NOT use celsius for T, it must be converted to Kelvin which is 20 = 293K and 40 is 313.
