I believe you get .0030864. solve what's in the parenthesis first then ^2. turn fractions into decimal format then add them and ^2.
As time passes, the ticket sales get higher. Each time you plug in different values of X, the day tickets go on sale, your Y value increases.
For D)..... Your parabola should be negative because of the -2X^2. SO the parabola when you graph it is a backwards U. The middle of the backwards "U" has a high maximum so your tickets should be at a peak during the middle of the sale.

Oh and then you put your equation in slope intercept form y=mx+b. and get -7y=-6x-42 and divide by 7. so your line will be y=6/7x +6.
you plug in zero for x and get 6(0)-7y=-42 and then you get-7y=-42 which is y=6. and then you plug in zero for y and get 6x-7(0)=-42 and then you get 6x=-42 which is x=-7. so your points are (-7,6) and then graph them.
oh okay! I get it now, thanks!:)
THE VOLUME WOULDN'T HAVE ANY EFFECT ON THE TEMPERATURE. FOR A GAS IN A CLOSED CONTAINER, WITH THE PRESSURE CONSTANT THE TEMPERATURE DOESN'T CHANGE THE VOLUME. WHEN TEMPERATURE INCREASES, PRESSURE INCREASES. THEY ARE DIRECTLY PROPORTIONAL.
You would use gay-lussac's law. P1/P1 = P2/P2 SO you plug your values in and get... (660 torr)/(20celsius) = (? torr)/(40celsius) .... (26400 torr/celsius) = (20celsius)(? torr) then divide by 20 degrees celsius and then you get 1320 torr as your answer.
