Your function g(x) doesn't have any x's in it! If it's a constant, then
9k-4 = -2
k = 2/9
You sure you don't mean
g(x) = 9kx-4
or
g(x) = 9x-4k or something?
since g(7) = -2, if g(x) = 9kx-4, then
9k*7-4 = -2
63k = 2
k = 2/63

If that's not what you wanted, then fix g(x) and just plug in 7 for x and -2 for g(x) in the equation, then solve for k.
