Solve the literal equation for the given variable. Show your work.

A = 1/2h (b1+b2) for h

Can someone explain this to me?

3 answers

A = (1/2h) (b1+b2)
for h
We want h all alone.
multiply both sides by 2
2A = h (b1+b2)
divide both sides by (b1+b2)
2 A / (b1+b2) = h
hey look, that is h
h = 2 A / (b1+b2)
Thanks!
