You can solve this one of two ways. Either convert all the decimals to fractions or convert the fractions to decimals. Fractions to decimals is the easiest way to do it, so I'll show you that. Since the whole number stays the same, we don't need to worry
For this you just have to solve 1 1/4 divided by 2. First you need to convert 1/4 to a decimal. You can think of it like money, and since four quarters make a dollar, and a quarter is 25 cents, 1/4 = 0.25. Now we have 7.25, and we just divide it by two.
