Simplify this expression (DO NOT solve for x)

5x+6(x+2)-8(x-3)
I have no clue, can someone tell me how to solve it? Please don't tell me the answer, only how to solve it. Thanks :D

5x+6(x+2)-8(x-3)

5x + 6x + 12 - 8x + 24

3x + 36
