I am confused on figuring out how to solve the above problem.

2. Darnell rented a moving truck. The weight of the empty truck was 7,860 pounds. When Darnell filled the truck with his items, it weighed 6 tons. What was the weight in pounds of the items that Darnell placed in the truck?
I am confused on figuring out the process to find the answer.
I know that 6 tons is 13,440 pounds but that is the incorrect answer

6 answers

1=45 feet of ribbon

2 6 tons actually equals 12000 pounds and then you would - that from 7,860 and you would get 4,140 pounds is that what you are looking for?
I thought that one ton was 2,240 pounds.
Where did you find what one ton is?
You are right about the tons. 1 ton is 2,000 pounds times 6 which is 12,0000. I understand that problem now
1. 18balloon * 2.5Ft/balloon. = 45 Ft.
45Ft. * 1yd/3Ft = 15 Yds.
Lol Idk
