NOTE:

1. The personal endings of the present tense of -re verbs are: -s, -s, -, -ons, -ez, -ent.

2. These verbs form their negative and negative interrogative in the same manner as -er and -ir verbs. For examle:

NEGATIVE:

je n'entends pas
nous n'entendons pas

NEGATIVE INTERROGATIVE:

est-ce que je n'entends pas?
n'entendons-nous pas?

COMMON -RE VERBS:

attendre, to wait (for)
défendre, to defend
descendre, to go (come) down
entendre, to hear
perdre, to lose
rendre, to give back, return
répondre (à), to answer
vendre, to sell
