Part 1: I selected the stop at Fort Mandan.

Part 2: At Fort Mandan, Lewis and Clark met the Mandan and Hidatsa tribes.

Part 3: The interaction with the Mandan and Hidatsa people was generally positive and quite helpful. These Native American tribes welcomed the expedition and offered them food, shelter, and valuable information about the land ahead. Additionally, the tribes shared their local knowledge regarding navigation and survival, which greatly assisted Lewis and Clark in their journey westward.
