If there are 50 questions on a test and 19 are missed, what would be the grade?

How would I solve this? Thanks

First of all you would need to know the value of one question = one point, two points, etc.

If each question were worth 1 point, on a base of 100, double the 50 = 100, either double 19 = 38 to subtract from 100 = 62 which is like a D- on most grading scales. At any rate you would have 62%.

also, you can subtract 19 from 50, giving you 31 and if you divide 31 by 50 you end up also with .62 or 62%.

In a grade book it would look like 62/100 or 31/50.
