I would not be surprised if you have typos but as written:
2/m + 1 = 9 - 3
2/m = 5
m = 2/5
I am able to solve the question but I can't seem to get the right answer.
**it is rational equations!!!
(2/m+1) = (8m/m+1) - 3
9 answers
the answer key says that the m=1
If you meant to type:
2/(m+1) = 8m/(m+1) - 3
then
2 = 8 - 3(m+1)
6 = 3m + 3
m = 1
2/(m+1) = 8m/(m+1) - 3
then
2 = 8 - 3(m+1)
6 = 3m + 3
m = 1
Then you had the typos I thought you had.
Be careful with parentheses.
Be careful with parentheses.
so when u solve it u have to multiply out m+1 and it is then only going to multiply with the 3 right?????
ok thanks for the correction. it is harder to type it out for mee on a laptop!!!
Yes
(m+1) [2/(m+1)] = [8m/(m+1)](m+1) - 3 [m+1]
(m+1) [2/(m+1)] = [8m/(m+1)](m+1) - 3 [m+1]
2 = 8 m -3 m - 3
5 = 5 m
m =1
( I had a typo)
5 = 5 m
m =1
( I had a typo)
@Damon is a legend. They're helping you out w/ a ton of stuff man, thank them. <3
